AstraConcepts provides various Atmospheric Crude Unit configurations that meet customer expectations.
AstraConcepts also supplies standard Atmospheric Crude Unit and Vacuum Crude Unit schemes that meets key performance objectives:
-
CRUDE++®
-
VAC++®
CRUDE++®
CRUDE++® is a Crude Unit designed by AstraConcepts for maximum efficiency, recovery and productivity. AstraConcepts utilizes state-of-art Electrostatic Desalter system along with shell and tube heat exchangers designed to minimize fouling and enhanced energy recovery. Remainder of heat is provided by the furnace, which is designed to minimize coking and maximize heat recovery through the convection section. A Waste Heat Recovery Unit (WHRU) is used to generate steam for steam stripping. The tower is designed with conventional trays, allowing for increasing capacity through random and structured packing. Special focus is provided to the transfer line, entry nozzle and wash section to minimize entrainment and enhance recovery of Heavy Atmospheric Gas Oils (HAGO). Tower temperature profile is maintained to maximize pump-around heat driving force and minimize localized corrosion.
Key Benefits
-
Enhanced recovery of valuable HAGO
-
Maximum energy efficiency
-
Minimum equipment and capital cost
-
Expandable
-
Flexible to handle various crudes
-
Minimum coking, cracking and corrosion
-
Efficient use of water
-
Optional: Water Desalination and Water Treatment units to recycle Water.
Solutions
-
Detailed Feed Characterization
-
HYSYS Process Model
-
Pre-Heat Train Pinch Analysis
-
Furnace Design
-
Transfer Line Design
-
Distillation Mass Transfer Evaluation
